TTRPGs

I love tabletop roleplaying games*, they are basically a way to play pretend as an adult and an exuse to roll dice. I am mostly intrested in story driven games where the players have a lot of narrative freedom.

Bite-sized Reviews

Tales from the loop

Very fun roleplaying game, the art is especially great (simon Stalenhag is an absolute legend) the setting is cool (It is an alternate version of the 80s where robots and flying machines are real) also it is very fun that the classes are highschool stereotypes.
The rules are simple ad not overcomplicated but the game is also not rules-light and there is some complexity.

Alice is missing

The premise of alice is missing is very unique, you sit around a table in silence and can only communicate with in-character messages. You need a serious group for this because the story can be quite striking and cover some heavy topics. I loved playing it the first time but this is not a game to play for weeks on end; Thus the 3/5 cat score.
Tip: this is a great game for if you didn't prepare anything as a GM since everyone is a player and there is no GM!

Skate wizards

Very funny, this roleplaying game can create some hilarious moments. It is very rules light so it requires a lot of inprovisation from the GM and the players alike. The rando spells are super cool, it is very fun to get a "Hyped shielding light door" but is is even more fun to go in discussion with the gm about what in gods name the "Hyped shielding light door" exactly does...

This is a fun game for a few sessions but I would absolutely not run a full campain with this system.

UVG 2

While it is more like a setting book, I love ultraviolet grasslands, the art is amazing and very reminiscent of scavengers reign (you should watch that show right now!)
